Sādhanā means the “methodical discipline followed for the achievement of an intended piece of knowledge or goal”. It referes to any type of exercise towards self-knowledge, which aims at the development of the student – sādhaka.
It is not necessary to include practices on a yoga mat so that it can referred to as sādhanā.
Everything can be turned into sādhanā.
The way one eats, sits, stands, breathes and behaves in general.
Sādhanā does not entail a specific kind of activity. On the contrary sādhanā means that one uses life itself as a tool or a stimulus of self-knowledge.
The results of sādhanā are not always immediately obvious, neither should we concern ourselves with this.
Let us disregard the fruit.
Let us turn life into sādhanā.
